Patowmack Farm

Established in 1986, the farm was one of the first certified organic farms in Virginia and has since transitioned to being Certified Naturally Grown. The farm has always emphasized improving the land and supporting local artisan growers and producers.

The farm employs organic and biodynamic methods, focusing on benefiting the entire ecosystem rather than short-term profits. Sustainable environmental practices are a cornerstone, and the addition of a hoophouse allows for an extended growing season. The farm serves as the pantry for The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm, promoting organic growing practices and supporting local farmers who share a vision of sustainable agriculture. This collaboration enables the creation of menus based on local, organic, seasonal cuisine.
