About the Farm

Background

Since 1994, the Birkenfeld family has pioneered grass-fattened meats, growing from a time when grassfed meat was virtually unknown in their area to serving customers through more than 50 buying clubs across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Their growth has been driven by word-of-mouth recommendations rather than mass advertising, fostering strong relationships between customers and their food.

Practices

All animals are raised on pasture only, with no confined feeding or grain for ruminants, even in the finishing phase. The farm adheres to humane practices, avoiding implants, antibiotics, steroids, hormones, growth stimulants, vaccinations, and branding. Each animal is source-verified, ensuring a known history free of any 'skeletons in their closets.' The farm's philosophy centers on doing right by their customers, only offering products they would consume themselves.

The Rest

Orders of 50 pounds or more can be shipped via UPS 2-day air, and variety packs combining different types of meat are available. Customers can join the delivery list by emailing carnivore@paidom.com. The farm has reverted to an email-based ordering system for its simplicity and effectiveness. Bison meat is available but not yet listed on the website.
