About the Farm
Background
Located in the scenic coulee country of southwestern Wisconsin, this farm has become a haven for grass farming. Over the years, it has developed a reputation for producing high-quality meat and poultry, adhering strictly to organic standards. The farm also boasts a hilltop vineyard that yields organic bluebell and edelweiss grapes each fall.
Practices
The farm's rolling hills are never broken by the plow, preserving the integrity of the soil. Beef cattle and sheep thrive on lush grass, free from herbicides and chemicals, and are never fed grain. Poultry grazes on pasture and receives a supplemental diet of organic grain. The farm maintains organic standards across all its operations, ensuring a healthy and sustainable environment for its livestock and crops.
The Rest
Amish friends supply organic, pastured turkey for Thanksgiving. While there may be a limited amount of meat and poultry available in the winter, the farm encourages early orders for lamb, beef, and broilers to ensure sufficient production.
