Native Seeds/SEARCH

For over 30 years, this Tucson-based non-profit has distributed more than a million packets of seeds, promoting the use of ancient crops and their wild relatives. Known for its extensive seed bank, the organization provides access to over 400 varieties of important agricultural crops indigenous to the Southwest.

The organization gathers, safeguards, and distributes seeds, emphasizing the importance of preserving agricultural biodiversity. By documenting and conserving both cultivated and wild seed varieties, they support farming and gardening communities in maintaining resilient and diverse crop systems.

Visitors can access seeds through the Seedlisting, retail store, or website. The organization also offers various ways to support their mission, including donations, memberships, and volunteering. Their gift shop features local arts and crafts, while the Sonoran Pantry offers a range of regional food products.
