About the Farm

Background

Established in the spring of 2010 in Richmond, VT, the farm relocated to Jericho in 2012 and is now situated in Cambridge, VT. The founders, Nate and Ama, gained extensive farming experience as WWOOFers from 2008-2009, working on small organic homesteads across America.

Practices

The farm operates organically and biodynamically, eschewing petroleum-based inputs and focusing on hand cultivation to give each plant individual attention. They grow a variety of heirloom vegetables including tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, mesclun mix, peas, beans, kale, chard, beets, carrots, and squash in full sun fields and raised beds.

The Rest

Farmer Ama creates a range of unique jams, pickles, chutneys, farmhouse relish, and tomato sauce. Work exchange opportunities are sometimes available for those with farming experience.
