About the Farm
Background
Moore Ranch is a family-operated ranch located in Southwest Kansas, known for its production of grass-fed longhorn beef, pastured poultry, and eggs. The ranch has a tradition of raising longhorn cattle, which are grazed on natural grasses provided by the land. The ranch also produces broilers and eggs, managed by the youngest son, Laramie, who also raises honey.
Practices
The ranch employs rotational grazing to enhance both livestock and the surrounding environment. Longhorn cattle are raised without hormones, chemicals, or low-level antibiotics, grazing solely on natural grasses. The broilers are pasture-fed, and the hens roam freely around the barnyard and nearby grasslands. The ranch is committed to maintaining an ecosystem that supports livestock, prairie, wild animals, air, water, and soil.
The Rest
Visitors are welcome to tour the ranch and observe the rotational grazing practices that benefit both cattle and wildlife. The ranch offers various cuts of longhorn beef, including halves and split halves, and sells broilers and eggs directly from the ranch.
