About the Farm

Background

Located in the fertile Beaver Valley of Washington's Olympic Peninsula, Moonlight Farm has become known for its lively Berkshire pigs and chickens. The farm is situated below a stretch of lush woodland and just inland of the Puget Sound, offering a picturesque setting for its operations.

Practices

The animals at Moonlight Farm spend their days scratching and rooting around on rotating pastures, which helps maintain soil health and fertility. They are fed local grains and whey, and are treated with herbal and homeopathic remedies when needed. The farm raises pigs from farrow to finish and aims to do the same for their chickens, striving to raise animals as true to their natures as possible.

The Rest

Moonlight Farm sells its products at the Port Townsend Farmers Market, Red Dog Farm Stand, and Quilcene Village Store. They also offer sales by the half and whole hog, and will be introducing a pastured pork CSA this winter.
