Misty Mountain Farm

Misty Mountain Farm spans 160 acres of rolling hills in Calhoun County, WV. Originally a 100-year-old rundown homestead, the land has been gradually restored through natural methods. Known for their rotational grazing practices, the farm raises Dexter cattle, Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs, and pastured chickens and turkeys. They offer broilers from June to early fall, a limited number of turkeys for Thanksgiving, 100% grass-fed and finished beef, and heritage pork.

The farm employs rotational grazing to enhance soil fertility and pasture health. Dexter cattle and Dexter crosses are raised on a 100% grass-fed diet, while Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs are raised outside on grass and finished pork is offered in the fall and spring. Poultry and pigs are not fed GMO grains, and none of the animals are given antibiotics or hormones. The farm's philosophy emphasizes the connection between naturally raised food and human health, advocating for meat, milk, and eggs produced without artificial chemicals or synthetic vitamins.

Customers are encouraged to call or email to check current availability or to schedule a visit, as the farm does not ship products. Poultry is available for on-farm pickup, while beef and pork are delivered to the butcher for customer pickup. The farm invites visitors to join them in their journey of growth and stewardship.
