About the Farm

Background

Located in Harper, Texas, this family co-op consists of three market gardeners who have come together to provide a diverse selection of produce. They are known for their seasonal offerings, which include a wide range of vegetables and fruits, as well as homemade items like cucumber dill pickles, jellies, freshly ground flour, and pepper spices. Their produce is available at the Fredericksburg Farmers Market starting in April, and potentially in Harper Park on Mondays if the tomato plants yield well.

Practices

Each of the three gardeners employs slightly different growing techniques, but all adhere to sustainable methods. However, they are pragmatic in their approach and will resort to using non-organic pesticides, such as Sevin Dust, if the situation is dire and the plants are at risk of dying or being completely consumed.

The Rest

The co-op also sells vegetable transplants, though they do not offer delivery or shipping services. Additionally, during the winter months, they provide whitetail and axis hunts. Their produce is typically available from April through August.
