In the summer of 2014, Wes and Diantha Duren, Marvin's son and daughter-in-law, acquired ownership of Marvin's Organic Gardens, bringing positive and decisive change within the business. With over 100 years of combined experience in the horticulture industry, their talented and dedicated team continues to provide high-caliber customer service and workmanship. Since 1999, the multi-generational, family-owned business has been known for its eco-landscaping design, build, and maintenance services.

The firm integrates a diversity of native perennials and trees into their gardens, catering to those seeking regenerative, resilient, and abundant personal or community sanctuaries. They adopt time-honored traditional technologies such as composting, soil building, bio-diverse perennial plantings, polyculture, and water protection. Their approach responds to the innate rhythms of the ecosystem while respecting practices passed down from Black, Indigenous, and Peoples of Color around the world.

Marvin's Organic Gardens offers a variety of services including the construction of ornamental and native gardens, natural stone or paver patios, firepits, walkways, full tree service, LED outdoor lighting, and outdoor carpentry such as decks, fencing, and arbors. They also provide bulk organic fertilizers, pre-emergent, pine straw, and act as a distributor for Sherrington Food's compost yard. All products are available by special order and appointment only. Their mission is to create landscapes and hardscapes that are beautiful, durable, and low maintenance, promoting health and respect for all beings and Mother Nature.
