About the Farm

Background

Manor Farms, a small family-owned farm located in East Central Alabama, has established itself as a diverse agricultural operation. Conveniently situated near Auburn/Opelika, AL, and Columbus/Fort Benning, GA, the farm has grown to include a variety of livestock and produce offerings. Known for their registered babydoll sheep, commercial black Angus cross cattle, and registered miniature jersey dairy cattle, Manor Farms also raises New Zealand rabbits and a variety of fancy chickens. The farm has a reputation for providing fresh eggs, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and grass-fed beef and lamb. Additionally, they breed and show AKC Border Collies, ensuring their dogs are health tested and well-exercised.

Practices

Manor Farms adheres to high standards of animal health and ethical farming practices. They are NPIP/AI Clean certified for their chickens and participate in the Alabama scrapie program for their sheep. Their border collies undergo full panel DNA and OFA testing, while their jerseys are tested for BLV, BVD, Johnes, TB, and brucellosis. The farm focuses on clean living and self-sustainable homesteading, raising their own meat and dairy, and offering some of their produce to the public. Their commitment to ethical business practices ensures transparency and honesty with their customers.

The Rest

Manor Farms offers a variety of products to the public, including fresh eggs, seasonal fruits and vegetables, canned relish, pickles, and preserves. They breed several litters of AKC registered border collie puppies each year, with a focus on providing happy, healthy puppies. The farm occasionally has miniature jerseys, beef cattle, and sheep available, along with grass-fed beef and lamb. New Zealand rabbits are frequently available as well. Due to biosecurity concerns, general tours of the farm are not offered, but appointments can be made for pick-ups. The farm maintains active communication with customers through email and text, preferring these methods over voicemail.
