Majestic Farm

Sara and Brett Budde, originally from arts and music backgrounds, developed a passion for farming upon moving to Sullivan County. They established Majestic Farm in Mountain Dale, NY, where they raise a variety of livestock. The farm is known for its AWA certification and commitment to providing high-quality, sustainably-raised meat and eggs to the local community.

Majestic Farm utilizes the natural landscape, with its woodland and rocky, free-draining sub-soil, to raise traditional Large Black hogs that forage on the forest understory. The farm also leases nearby pastureland for rotationally grazing their Kathadin and Dorper sheep, supplemented with hay during winter. The Buddes emphasize high animal welfare, treating their livestock with care and respect, and adhere to sustainable farming methods that ensure the health and happiness of their animals.

Majestic Farm's products, including pork, lamb, and eggs, are available at the Rocky Hill Farmers Market in Connecticut and through the Rusty Plow CSA. Monthly deliveries are made to New York City. The farm also offers organic boutique apples and provides educational resources and family-friendly experiences such as U-pick apple events.
