About the Farm
Background
Lonely Lane was started in 1939 by John and Hattie Kloft, initially focusing on cereal grains and later dairy. Transitioning to beef cattle in the 1980s, the farm is now run by third-generation farmers Mike and Patty Kloft, who have expanded operations to include a USDA-inspected processing facility.
Practices
The farm employs humane practices, grazing and crop rotation, and small-scale production. Animals are raised without antibiotics, added hormones, or GMO feed, and the farm produces its own feed. The on-site USDA-inspected plant ensures high-quality, hand-cut meats.
The Rest
Lonely Lane meats are available through local business deliveries, home deliveries in the Corvallis, Eugene, and Portland areas, and at the Beaverton Farmers Market. The farm also offers all-natural pet treats and engages with the community through social media.
