About the Farm
Background
Owned and operated by Ryan, Kara, and Reid Olson, the farm began as a hobby five years ago, raising steers, pigs, and chickens for family and friends. Ryan and Kara, both from dairy farming backgrounds, married in 2008 and dreamed of running their own farm. Their son Reid, born in 2015, represents the next generation in their family farming tradition. The farm has grown from its humble beginnings due to positive feedback and demand for their meat.
Practices
The farm raises animals humanely without the use of antibiotics or hormones. The beef is fed grass, hay, grains, and minerals, while the pigs are raised indoors on a diet of milled grains. Chickens are raised outside on a diet of milled grains and grass. The animals are ensured high-quality feed and a stress-free life, which the owners believe results in the most delicious meat.
The Rest
Customers can order quarter, half, or whole animals directly from the farm, with options for custom butchering and processing. The meat is frozen and vacuum-sealed at the butcher, and delivery can be arranged. The farm guarantees satisfaction with a buy-back pledge if customers are not happy with the quality of the meat.
