About the Farm
Background
Business partners Lee and Tommy founded the farm out of their passion for cattle, establishing both a cow/calf operation and a direct-to-consumer beef business. The farm is North Carolina Beef Quality Assurance certified, ensuring ethical and healthy cattle raising practices.
Practices
Cattle are raised naturally without growth hormones and no antibiotics are used on feeder cattle. Steers are raised 100% on pasture with access to clean water and are grain-finished, though grass-finished options are available if ordered in advance. The farm grows its own hay and corn silage, and sources gin trash from a local cotton gin. Feeder cattle are dry-aged for a minimum of 21 days to enhance flavor and tenderness.
The Rest
The farm also offers pork finished on a corn diet, available in individual cuts and shares. Wagyu-influenced beef shares will be available starting September 2024, with a focus on high marbling and quality. Customers can reserve shares with a deposit and discuss cut preferences with Amy. All meat products are pick-up only at the farm in Nashville, NC.
