About the Farm
Background
Established in 1911, Kiyokawa Family Orchards has been a cornerstone of the Hood River Valley, known for producing some of the nation's finest apples and pears. Located in Parkdale, Oregon, the orchard has remained family-owned and operated for over a century, consistently providing quality, grower-direct fruit to its customers.
Practices
The orchard benefits from the fertile soils at the base of Mt. Hood and glacier-fed water sources, creating a unique growing environment. They promote local and sustainably grown produce through a farm management system that incorporates best management practices.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy an unforgettable family experience with breathtaking views of Mt. Hood, a play area for kids, and beautiful grounds for touring and picnicking. The fruit stand offers turnovers, local honey, jams, and fresh cider, and the orchard boasts the largest U-Pick operation in the valley.
