About the Farm
Background
Established in the early 1950s, the orchard originally spanned 138 acres and was known for its diverse fruit offerings, including highbush blueberries, peaches, nectarines, black raspberries, and thornless blackberries. By the 1980s, under Tom Ryan's ownership, the farm dedicated over 50 acres to blueberries and welcomed over 35,000 'pick your own' visitors each season. In 2016, the current owners purchased the now 36-acre highbush blueberry farm, continuing the tradition of quality established by Ryan's Berry Farm.
Practices
The orchard takes its responsibility as farmers seriously, balancing environmental impact daily and utilizing the newest technology and science to ensure the highest quality blueberries. The farm emphasizes exceptional customer service and the royal treatment of their berries.
The Rest
The farm offers a 'U-Pick' experience for visitors, allowing them to enjoy the process of harvesting their own blueberries. Additionally, the blueberries are marketed as a nutritious option, rich in vitamins and minerals. The orchard also participates in farm-to-table retail and farmers' markets.
