About the Farm
Background
Many thousands of years ago, the last glacier retreated from upstate New York, leaving behind what is now known as Kettle Ridge Farm — 70 acres of rugged beauty located outside of Rochester, New York, in the Town of Victor. Since 2010, the farm has been dedicated to producing the purest New York State maple syrup and the finest local honey. The farm's steep wooded slopes, high ridges, and kettle-hole ponds offer a refuge from the surrounding development in one of the fastest-growing communities in New York State.
Practices
The farm's maple syrup is produced in their own sugarhouse, and their local wildflower honey is made by honey bees in their apiary. As a NYS farm micro-winery, they also use their honey to produce mead. All products are natural with no added chemicals or fillers. The farm's flock of free-range chickens provides brown eggs, ensuring humane and ethical treatment of the animals.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy KettleFest in September, a one-day celebration of local sustainable farming and artisanship. The farm also offers a charming three-bedroom, two-bathroom log home known as the Sugar House, which provides a peaceful escape with views of the working farm. Products can be purchased directly at the farm or online. The farm hosts special events such as a Mother's Day Brunch, providing a picturesque setting to celebrate with family.
