About the Farm
Background
Located near the tip of the Key Peninsula, the farm is known for raising quality livestock, particularly Oxford Down and Coopworth Sheep. Oxford Down sheep are renowned for their quality meat, gentle nature, and maternal instincts, while Coopworth sheep are valued for their fleeces, especially among hand spinners. Recently, the farm has started breeding 'Cocoa Coop's,' a line of natural colored fleeces.
Practices
The farm maximizes pasture health through rotational grazing, utilizing Angus and Dexter cattle. The larger Angus cattle graze in the drier areas of the farm, while the smaller Dexter cattle are used in more sensitive regions, ensuring the land is treated with care and balance.
The Rest
The farm's Coopworth fleeces are highly valued for hand spinning, and the new 'Cocoa Coop's' line offers natural colored fleeces with strength and character.
