About the Farm

Background

Established in 2004, the five-acre property on the Hamakua Coast was initially ornamental. The owners transformed it into a productive homestead to feed their family and restore ecological balance. Known for their hand-harvested and processed estate-grown coffee, they also grow dragonfruit, starfruit, and white pineapple.

Practices

Employing the latest permaculture techniques, the farm avoids chemical pesticides and herbicides, focusing on a polyculture approach. They emphasize traditional growing practices, hand-processing, and the integration of technology to enhance efficiency. The farm features numerous fruit, nut, and ornamental trees, as well as ponds that support ducks and provide irrigation.

The Rest

The farm includes a drying house, coffee processing and roasting equipment, and an oil press. They host various animals, including miniature donkeys, Nigerian dwarf goats, geese, tortoises, and chickens. Future plans include adding products, events, tours, and farm-to-table dinners.
