About the Farm
Background
Located in the rolling hills of southwest Wisconsin near Potosi, Jersey Hollow Farm spans 180 acres and has been operating under its current system for over 15 years. Known for its commitment to grassfed dairy cows, beef, and lamb, as well as pastured pork and broiler chickens, the farm has established itself as a local provider of high-quality meats.
Practices
The farm employs regenerative agricultural practices aimed at boosting soil, animal, and human health. All livestock, including dairy cows, beef, and lamb, are strictly grassfed throughout their lives. The pork is pastured and supplemented with organic wheat, whey, and skim milk from the dairy herd. Broiler chickens are pastured and moved twice daily in a portable chicken tractor, providing them with access to fresh grass, bugs, worms, and water. The farm avoids harmful inputs such as antibiotics, pesticides, GMOs, and soy in poultry and pork feed, adhering to standards that would meet organic certification requirements.
The Rest
Beef, pork, and lamb are available in the fall, while chickens are available from June to November. For more information, potential customers are encouraged to visit the farm's website, call, or email.
