About the Farm
Background
In 2021, Jericho Mountain Beef was launched in the shadow of the Jericho Mountain region in southeastern Bucks County, PA. The farm is built on a portion of the Trevellini Preserve, historic farmland originally sold by the sons of William Penn in the 1600s. The area has a rich cultural history, including George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River and being home to William Penn.
Practices
Jericho Mountain Beef operates under the principle of doing the right thing for the herd, ensuring better quality beef for customers. The farm focuses on the highest quality genetics in their Wagyu and Angus cows, emphasizing superior bloodlines and heritage classes. They study weight gains, feed, and grazing patterns, and collaborate with other breeders and university programs to raise healthy and happy cattle. The result is beef with higher marbling, richer flavors, and more tender meat.
The Rest
Jericho Mountain Beef offers custom cuts to order and delivers directly to customers' doors. The farm is USDA certified and featured in many local restaurants. The farm's land is also home to various wildlife, including red foxes, Guineafowl, White Tail deer, wildflowers, and beehives. Specialty orders can be accommodated, and fresh cuts are available upon request.
