Located in Southwest Missouri, JB Kobe Farms has been dedicated to raising superior Wagyu beef since 2003. The family-owned and operated ranch prides itself on its high marbling, purebred Wagyu genetics, and commitment to supporting local and family-owned businesses. Over the years, they have become known for their exceptional meat quality and have assisted many smaller ranches in starting their own Wagyu cattle operations.

Practices

JB Kobe Farms employs meticulous breeding practices, using only top marbling Fullblood Japanese Black Wagyu bulls and cows to ensure the highest meat quality. The steers are raised on the family farm for about three years, finished in open pasture without antibiotics, and fed a custom all-natural blend of grains daily. This approach avoids the questionable practices of feedlots, such as overcrowding and routine antibiotic use, resulting in happier, healthier steers and superior beef.

The Rest

The farm processes all its cattle through a family-owned butcher and offers nationwide shipping, as well as local sales in the Springfield area. Customers can order online or make an appointment to buy directly from the warehouse. The farm's commitment to superior genetics is evident in their use of renowned sires like Sanjirou, JVP Fukutsuru 068, Shigeshigetani, Suzutani, and Michifuku.
