About the Farm

Background

The Echols family has been harvesting crops from their land for 107 years, starting with cotton and a few peach trees in 1912. Over time, they shifted their focus to peaches, selling them along Old Cornelia Highway. The farm expanded under the leadership of George Echols and later his son Jimmy, who purchased additional land and rebranded the farm as Jaemor Farms in 1981. The farm market developed in the mid-1980s, and the family continued to work together, raising subsequent generations on the farm. Significant milestones include the opening of the first corn maze in 2006, the first strawberry crop in 2008, and the expansion of the school field trip program in the 2010s.

Practices

Jaemor Farms practices sustainable agriculture, focusing on high-quality, fresh produce. The farm takes pride in its ability to offer fresh produce that stands out in taste and quality. Their commitment to sustainable methods ensures that the land is treated with care, benefiting both the environment and the produce they grow.

The Rest

Jaemor Farms offers a variety of activities for all ages, including an annual six-acre corn maze, farm tours, and field trips. They also have U-Pick fields open on weekends during the summer, allowing visitors to pick their own peaches and flowers. The farm market is open daily, providing a range of fresh produce and other farm products. Jaemor Farms is more than just a place to buy produce; it is an outdoor experience for families, classes, and organizations.
