Howmars Farm

Converted from conventional dairy farming to organic several years ago, this third-generation farm is a member of a cooperative supplying large organic dairy companies.

Certified organic practices are employed across the farm, with a focus on producing organic dairy, beef, chickens, and turkeys. Pasture-raised methods are used for poultry, and the farm also produces organic compost and firewood.

The farm produces approximately 850,000 pounds of milk per year, primarily sold to a major organic yogurt producer. Organic beef is available year-round, and pasture-raised turkeys are processed in mid to late October. Additional products include maple syrup, Christmas trees, and logs.
