About the Farm
Background
A farm girl who grew up on a dairy farm and valued homegrown food decided to start her own farm with her husband, who has struggled with digestion and food sensitivities. They named their farm Honeymilk Homestead, inspired by the biblical reference to a land flowing with milk and honey, symbolizing God's providence and blessings. The farm aims to provide quality, nutritious food for their family and others, teaching their children the values and life lessons of farming.
Practices
The farm raises mixed breed A2 cows on a clover/grass pasture during the summer and an alfalfa/grass hay mix in the winter. The cows are fed ground oats during milking and have access to Agridynamics minerals free choice. They ensure the cows are soy and GMO-free. The farm emphasizes the importance of knowing where food comes from and how it is raised and processed, aiming to produce food that not only nourishes but also heals.
The Rest
The farm offers raw milk at $6 per half gallon, with customers required to bring their own containers. They also sell cream, raw honey, maple syrup, soy-free pastured eggs, chicken, and pork. The farm is closed on Sundays, and customers need to schedule milk pickups in advance. Located 1.5 miles off Highway 65 between Isanti and Cambridge, MN, the farm invites people to join their email list for updates, tutorials, inspiration, and recipes.
