About the Farm
Background
A group of experienced urban homesteaders and commercial farmers moved out of the big city to expand their farming operations and educational outreach. They have established a diverse farm operation that includes a variety of livestock and a growing vegetable plot.
Practices
The farm employs organic growing methods and uses organic feed for their livestock. While not currently certified organic, they are pursuing Certified Naturally Grown certification. The farm's practices emphasize the use of natural inputs and sustainable farming techniques.
The Rest
The farm offers a vegetable CSA with add-ons and sells eggs, honey, cut flowers, homemade goat milk soap, and foraged medicinal teas and tinctures. They also provide educational workshops and weekend intensive retreats year-round, focusing on growing, livestock keeping, general homesteading, and other self-sovereignty skills.
