About the Farm
Background
Holiday Brook Farm has long been a cornerstone of the community, known for its commitment to sharing the bounty and beauty of its land. Over the years, it has become a beloved local destination, offering not just farm products but also community events like barnyard dance parties and wagon hay rides.
Practices
The farm employs holistic practices that follow sustainable, natural models to enhance the health and productivity of its crops, livestock, and fields. Heritage breed hogs, sheep, and cattle are rotationally grazed on lush pastures and hayfields. Vegetables are grown using compost produced on-site, referred to as 'black gold.' Sustainable forestry is practiced in the farm's woodlots and sugarbush, ensuring a balanced and productive ecosystem.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities and products, including a self-serve farm store open daily from 9-5, which offers 100% pure maple syrup, grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, eggs, and local honey. The farm also provides compost and bark mulch for sale, with options for delivery or self-service pickup.
