The journey began unexpectedly when their eldest daughter requested a goat, leading to the addition of dairy goats and participation in 4H. This sparked a passion for farming, resulting in the gradual addition of pigs, rabbits, and a dairy cow. By 2019, they recognized the decline in grocery store meat quality and decided to use their farm to provide clean, fresh meat for their family and community. In November 2020, they moved to Hideaway Farms, where they continue their commitment to sustainable farming practices.

The farm raises animals naturally without pesticides or chemicals, emphasizing animal welfare and quality of life. Cows and chickens are moved to fresh grass daily, allowing chickens to forage for bugs and cows to graze on fresh grass. Pigs and chickens receive high-quality Non-GMO certified feed and organic Fertrell Minerals. All animals are free from antibiotics, hormones, and steroids. The farm focuses on sustainable farming, nurturing the land, and honoring their responsibility to care for the animals as gifts from God.

The entire family, including the children, participates in daily farm routines, fostering a deep understanding of where their food comes from and the rewards of farming. The farm aims to provide wholesome food to increase health, awareness, and a cooperative spirit within the local community.
