About the Farm

Background

Founded in 2004, the farm is run by Ben and Lindsey Shute along with a dedicated crew of young farmers. Situated on 70 acres in Clermont, NY, the farm has become a staple in the Hudson Valley and New York City communities, providing fresh food through their CSA program and farm market.

Practices

The farm's produce is certified organic by NOFA-NY Certified Organic, LLC. They adhere strictly to organic standards while also focusing on long-term soil health and fertility. The farm aims to integrate positively with the ecosystem, train new farmers, and ensure fair wages and worker-friendly employment policies.

The Rest

The farm market offers USDA certified organic vegetables, flowers, pastured eggs, and products from neighboring Hudson Valley farms. They also host an annual Tomato Seedling & Plant Sale and a summer Farm Camp for children. The market is open year-round, seven days a week, and provides a variety of local products including dairy, cheese, fruit, and more.
