Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard

Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard is a family-owned and operated 65-acre farm located in North Salem, NY. Known primarily for its apple orchard, the farm has expanded to include a variety of vegetables, stone fruits, and a robust CSA program. The farm also produces its own hard cider, grass-fed beef, and pasture-raised turkeys, and offers a range of local products in its Farm Store. Over the years, it has become a community hub, hosting events like apple picking weekends, Easter egg hunts, and live music nights.

Vegetables on the farm are grown using Integrated Pest Management (IPM), which involves the use of organic fertilizers and pest controls whenever possible. All vegetables and fruits are planted and harvested by hand. The farm employs ecologically and environmentally conscious techniques for maintaining its fruit crops. Due to the susceptibility of apple varieties to pests and diseases in the Northeastern US climate, the farm uses the most environmentally conscious sprays available to protect its orchard.

The farm offers a variety of seasonal activities including apple and pumpkin picking, hayrides, and Fall Festivals. It also hosts private events in its outdoor venue from April through August. Year-round, the Farm Store sells local honey, maple syrup, dairy products, cider doughnuts, and fresh baked goods. Special events like blueberry picking, outdoor movie nights, and summer yoga sessions add to the farm's appeal. The farm is open seven days a week from March through Christmas.
