About the Farm
Background
Approaching middle age, the owners sold their city home in southeast Wisconsin and moved to a 160-acre cattle ranch in Dover, Arkansas. With no prior farming experience, they embraced the rural lifestyle, learning to raise various livestock and tend to the land. Over nine years, they have transformed their fixer-upper farm into a thriving operation, balancing the demands of farm life with their love for nature and animals.
Practices
The farm emphasizes grass-fed practices for beef, goats, and lambs, ensuring hormone and antibiotic-free livestock. Hogs are humanely raised without hormones or antibiotics. The farm also produces raw goat milk in the spring and maintains clean, pleasant facilities with a family-friendly atmosphere. The land features creeks, a pond, wooded trails, and the Illinois Bayou, fostering a diverse and healthy ecosystem.
The Rest
In addition to livestock, the farm offers horse boarding, private trail rides by appointment, a petting zoo, and dog boarding services. The farm's blog shares stories, pictures, and insights into their journey, faith, and love for the countryside.
