About the Farm
Background
The roots of this business trace back to the early 1850s when Abraham Barnes settled in Yolo County, California, and began farming. His daughter Grace migrated from Kentucky and met Joseph Helm Harlan, a Virginia native. They married, purchased the Barnes homestead, and farmed there for the rest of their lives. Six generations later, the Harlan Ranch remains family-owned and operated, having varied its agricultural production over the years from livestock to grains, forages, and vegetables.
Practices
The ranch has adapted to many changes in crops and technology while remaining committed stewards of the land.
The Rest
The business prides itself on producing, manufacturing, and supplying a consistent product from a trustworthy source.
