About the Farm
Background
Starting with a simple desire to provide fresh milk for their family, the farm quickly became dedicated to raising Nubian dairy goats. Known for their high-quality show does that produce milk both in and out of show season, the farm participates in ADGA performance programs for milk (DHIR) and conformation (Linear Appraisal). Over the years, they have been working towards establishing a Grade A nano-dairy to produce small batches of farmstead goat cheese.
Practices
The goats are fed local perennial peanut hay grown by a Georgia farmer and a specially formulated dairy goat grain blend. The herd is on a monthly DHIA milk test to check quality, fat, and protein components. All milk animals undergo annual testing for CAE, Brucellosis, and TB. Antibiotics and wormers are only used when necessary, adhering to UGA withholding times for milk collection. Fresh raw milk is sold to order, ensuring that orders placed today are collected at the next milking and ready for pickup the following day.
The Rest
Located approximately 25 minutes from Savannah, GA, the farm offers fresh raw milk in gallon and half-gallon increments. They are committed to maintaining high standards of animal health and milk quality, ensuring that their products are safe and nutritious for their customers.
