About the Farm

Background

The market garden began in the Maxbass/Westhope ND area in 2012, moved to the Foxholm area in 2013, and then to the northwest corner of Minot in 2015. Initially participating in two North Prairie Farmers Markets in 2012, it joined the Minot Farmers' Market in Oak Park in 2013. By 2017, it was selling at both Minot markets, including the North Prairie Farmers' Market on Broadway and the Minot Farmers' Market in Oak Park and MAYSA.

Practices

The garden has experimented with a variety of cultivation and harvest methods, including a season dedicated to heirloom varieties. Currently, it focuses on growing staple crops such as potatoes, kohlrabi, onions, garlic, beans, beets, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, dill, spaghetti squash, tomatoes, watermelon, eggplant, bell peppers, and various types of squash.
