About the Farm
Background
In 2013, a 125-acre plot of land in Midland, VA was purchased as an investment with no initial intention of farming. What began as a hobby evolved into a full-fledged farm operation known for producing high-quality beef and pork. The farm is Hispanic-owned and one of the few in Northern Virginia. In 2019, the farm expanded its operations to include a food truck, showcasing their meats at local breweries, wineries, festivals, and food events.
Practices
The farm specializes in raising black angus beef, wagyu beef, and American Yorkshire pork, with several heritage breeds of swine such as Mangalitsa pork, red waddles, and Gloucestershire hogs. Their commitment to all-natural, grass-fed practices ensures the highest quality meats. The farm is constantly evolving to meet customer demands and maintains a retail farm store on the property for visitors to learn about their farming practices.
The Rest
The farm participates in several farmers markets in Northern Virginia and collaborates with local retailers, restaurants, caterers, and food truck operators to integrate farm-to-table menus. They offer delivery services to the Northern Virginia area, making it convenient for customers to enjoy their products. The farm is also actively involved in community events, such as feeding children in partnership with local organizations.
