Green Earth Growers

Established in 2004, Green Earth Growers began by cultivating quality plants, produce, and cut flowers for local markets, including farmers markets, garden centers, and restaurants. Over the years, their greenhouse space and farmland have expanded. In 2008, they launched a CSA program, initially serving 20 families and now catering to over 70 members. They also introduced flower shares in 2014 and ventured into retail with Green Earth Gardens in 2013, which closed in 2020. The farm is Certified Naturally Grown and adheres to the National Organic Standards.

Green Earth Growers employs Integrated Pest Management (IPM) by releasing beneficial predatory insects to control pests, avoiding harmful pesticides. They also experiment with Neem oil as a natural pesticide. Instead of chemical growth regulators, they use temperature differentials to manage plant growth rates. These methods ensure the production of healthy, robust plants.

Green Earth Growers is a women-owned business passionate about growing plants and continuously experimenting with new varieties and methods. They offer CSA shares, including vegetable and flower shares, and provide products that are Minnesota hardy and sustainably grown. Their online plant store allows for farm or market pick-up.
