About the Farm
Background
Established in May 2018, the farm began with the goal of creating a natural, healthy, and workable land. Initially, they raised cattle, sheep, and chickens, which lived harmoniously. Over time, they added ducks, geese, and pigs to their pond and pastures. They also started growing a variety of vegetables, grains, and fruits organically, leading to an abundant harvest. The farm set up a farm stand and later a farm store to share their produce with the community, receiving positive feedback from neighbors.
Practices
The farm employs organic practices, from selecting organic seeds to preparing the land with care. They avoid pesticides, chemicals, herbicides, and pollution. Livestock, including cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, and pigs, are raised in a natural environment, allowing them to express their natural behaviors. The manure from the animals is used as fertilizer for crops, creating a connected ecosystem. Free-range chickens forage in the grass, and pasture-raised pigs and ducks enjoy a diet of natural vegetables and crops.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of organically grown produce, including watermelon, which is rotated to ensure even exposure to sunlight for optimal sweetness. They are committed to providing healthy vegetables and interacting with like-minded individuals. The farm's Red Wattle hogs are known for their rapid growth rate and adaptability to various climates, producing lean meat.
