About the Farm
Background
Starting with a single garden on Beaufort Rd, the community garden has expanded to include two additional locations, each spanning an acre. This growth has enabled the introduction of U-pick opportunities for visitors.
Practices
The garden employs all-natural growing practices and a holistic approach to sharing and tending crops. The focus is on cultivating local favorites without the use of synthetic inputs, fostering a deeper connection between the land and the community.
The Rest
Visitors can participate in U-pick activities, with some crops available on a pick-on-halves basis. The garden welcomes families, students, and anyone interested in learning about food and sharing knowledge. Current produce includes okra, eggplant, tomatoes, and herbs, with pears and figs soon to be ready.
