About the Farm
Background
The Graham family has been farming in the Rosebush, Michigan area for over 100 years. By the mid-1960s, they expanded into a dairy and milk center. In the early 1990s, facing hard times and inspired by a soil consultant, Jim and Pat Graham transitioned to organic farming. By 1995, they had their first certified organic field, and by 1999, they began purchasing cattle from Ohlde Cattle Company. In 2008, they created their own feed mill to meet market demand. Today, they farm over 1400 acres organically, in partnership with their son Matt.
Practices
All pastures and grains are inspected and meet the guidelines established by The National Organic Program and USDA regulations. The farm uses rotational grazing and grows corn, soybeans, oats, alfalfa, and spelt organically. They prioritize soil health and animal welfare, using organic methods to benefit the land, animals, and consumers. Fertrell minerals are used in all blended feeds, and the farm processes its own beef on-site with a USDA certified organic meat processing plant.
The Rest
Graham’s Organics serves customers throughout Michigan and the Midwest, offering organic feeds for poultry, swine, sheep, goats, dairy, and beef. They emphasize the freshness of their feed, making it on an as-needed basis to ensure quality. Their products are available in select Michigan retailers.
