Godfrey's Farm

The Godfrey family has been growing and selling fresh produce for at least three generations. Tom's grandparents, Robert and Hazel Godfrey, were vegetable farmers in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. They had eight children who all grew up working on the farm. Tom’s parents, George and Mary Godfrey, moved to the eastern shore of Maryland in 1952 and expanded their farming operations. Tom and his siblings continued the family tradition, and today, Tom and Lisa Godfrey run the farm, providing fresh produce to grocery stores, produce stands, and distributors in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

The farm emphasizes hand-harvested fruits and vegetables, ensuring the highest quality produce. They offer a variety of pick-your-own options, allowing visitors to engage directly with the farming process. The farm's market provides a direct connection between the land and the community, offering the freshest seasonal produce.

Visitors can enjoy a range of activities including picking their own fruits, attending the Sudlersville Peach Festival, and exploring the farm market which offers local produce, hand-dipped ice cream, and fresh fruit slushies. The farm also hosts educational tours and annual events that celebrate their favorite crops. Located in Queen Anne's County on the eastern shore of Maryland, the farm is easily accessible from the Bay Bridge and Dover, DE.
