Funkhaus Farm

Located just outside Effingham, Illinois, this relatively new farm has two seasons of experience under its belt. The farm has already established a CSA program and is working towards expanding its operations.

The farm dedicates 1/8 acre to vegetable cultivation and raises chickens on pasture for egg production. They grow a variety of fruit trees including peach, cherry, and pear, as well as asparagus plants, raspberries, and blackberries. Future plans include the addition of a season-extending hoop house and expansion into 6 additional acres.

The farm offers a diverse range of produce including herbs, garlic, carrots, onions, kale, cauliflower, potatoes, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, green beans, shallots, spinach, squash, zucchini, leeks, mustard/collard greens, Swiss chard, and watermelon.
