About the Farm
Background
The beekeeping journey began over 20 years ago with a couple of hives as a way to help their daughter overcome her fear of insects. Over time, the collection of bees and equipment grew, as did their passion for honeybees and the products they provide. Today, they are known for their honey, beeswax candles, natural soaps, and lotions, as well as their educational outreach promoting beekeeping.
Practices
The farm maintains colonies as naturally as possible, using essential oils and natural ingredients to support hive health. All hives are registered and inspected annually by Florida's Department of Agriculture Division of Apiary Inspection, and the honey packaging facility is inspected by Florida's Department of Agriculture Division of Food Safety.
The Rest
In addition to honey and beeswax products, the farm provides pollination services to local growers, supporting crops like blueberries, melons, and tree fruits. They are also the official honey provider for Florida State University, proudly supplying honey to hundreds of Noles. Visitors can find a variety of local honey and gifts, including beeswax candles and natural products.
