About the Farm
Background
In 2005, a group of UCD alumni were entrusted with land 7 miles west of Davis, CA, and through their hard work and dedication, they created Full Circle Farm. Today, it is managed cooperatively by a new group of food and agricultural enthusiasts, also UCD alumni.
Practices
Full Circle Farm employs organic farming methods, raising free-range chickens for eggs and various animals for meat. They save their own seeds and keep bees, emphasizing a closed-loop system that nurtures the land and its biodiversity.
The Rest
The farm offers a CSA to approximately 20 members and supplies small, specialty orders to local restaurants. They frequently host student visits and welcome all visitors. Additionally, they have a steer in training to be an ox and goats for recreational purposes.
