About the Farm
Background
After years of conventional farming, the farm transitioned several years ago to its current pasture-based model, continuously expanding its operations to offer a variety of high-quality meats and eggs.
Practices
Broiler chickens are housed in portable shelters, moved daily to fresh pasture, and butchered humanely on the farm. Grass fed beef comes from steers raised from the farm's own cow/calf herd, ensuring a tender and juicy product. Pork is sourced from feeder pigs raised on a diet of grass, alfalfa, and a custom grain blend. Free range eggs are produced by hens that roam the pasture and yard, supplemented with grain during extreme cold months. No animals receive medications or hormones, and chicken and hog feed is milo-based to limit GMO exposure.
The Rest
Customers are encouraged to order chicken in advance to fill their freezers, though some is kept in the farm's freezer for year-round sales. Beef is sold in bulk as wholes, halves, and quarters, with plans to offer individual cuts soon. Pork is available in individual cuts and bulk options. The farm's eggs are known for their hard shells, dark yolks, and firm whites.
