About the Farm

Background

The farm's start-up CSA benefits from years of training and the expertise of five experienced growers from Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the American Midwest. As a Buy Fresh - Buy Local member, the farm has established itself as a source of clean produce, vegetables, some fruit, poultry, and eggs.

Practices

Using a permaculture approach, the farm manages its gardens, vineyard, brambles, orchard, and poultry. Seeds are sourced from Ark of Good Taste - Slow Food varieties, as well as their own and local sources. The farm emphasizes traditional and heritage breeds and seeds, integrating fermented and wild foods into their offerings.

The Rest

The farm offers a variety of garden vegetables reminiscent of those enjoyed by previous generations, complemented by cultural specialties and recipes. They are actively seeking members, interns, and volunteers for their CSA and housing co-op partners. Interns are provided with room and meals.
