Founded in 1985 by T. Lyle and Betty Ferderber along with T. Lyle’s mother Rita, the business began as a small milling operation producing organic flours and pancake mixes. Over the past twenty years, it has evolved into a distribution business serving customers across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. The milling operation remains at the family farm in Valencia, Pennsylvania, while the distribution business operates out of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania.
Practices
The farm is OCIA certified organic, emphasizing responsible and sustainable agricultural methods. Solar panels are used to power the milling operation. The farm and distribution business prioritize stocking items from trusted suppliers who support and practice responsible agricultural methods.
