Frankferd Farms Foods, Inc.

Founded in 1985 by T. Lyle and Betty Ferderber along with T. Lyle’s mother Rita, the business began as a small milling operation producing organic flours and pancake mixes. Over the past twenty years, it has evolved into a distribution business serving customers across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. The milling operation remains at the family farm in Valencia, Pennsylvania, while the distribution business operates out of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania.

The farm is OCIA certified organic, emphasizing responsible and sustainable agricultural methods. Solar panels are used to power the milling operation. The farm and distribution business prioritize stocking items from trusted suppliers who support and practice responsible agricultural methods.

The business serves a diverse range of customers, from local families and country stores to big city co-ops, bakeries, and institutions. The staff of 20 associates work diligently to ensure high-quality service. The farm also supports buying clubs and offers a wide variety of products, including unique flours like rye and Kamut. The retail showroom is located within the warehouse, providing a space for customers to purchase products directly.
