Blake and Sarah Zigmont, both from deep agricultural roots, founded Firebolt Farms in the Grand River Valley of Lowell, Michigan. Their story is one of generational farming, continuing the traditions of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. They raise their three children on the farm, instilling in them the same love and respect for the land and animals that they hold dear.

Practices

Firebolt Farms employs pasture-based farming methods, raising Angus cross cattle, Boer goats, and White Cornish Rock Cross meat chickens on pasture. Their animals are never treated with growth hormones or routine antibiotics. The farm is working towards becoming completely GMO-free, with their chickens already fed non-GMO feed. Their beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 14 days to ensure quality. The farm also maintains a flock of free-range egg-laying hens.
