About the Farm
Background
The story of this farm begins with a young girl from East Baltimore who dreamed of owning a farm. After a successful career in medicine and construction management, she purchased land in Northern Baltimore County. The farm started with a few pigs and chickens, inspired by her son's interest in raising poultry. Over time, the farm grew to produce a variety of meats for other families, driven by a desire to provide nutritious food free from harmful additives.
Practices
The farm employs sustainable agricultural methods, inspired by mentors like Joel Salatin. Animals are raised in their natural environments, moved to fresh pasture daily, and provided with clean water and wholesome natural feeds. No growth hormones, antibiotics, or appetite stimulants are used. The farm focuses on rotational grazing and pasturing multiple species to maintain soil health and animal welfare.
The Rest
Products include free-range turkeys, Muscovy ducks, heritage Berkshire pork, 100% grass-fed beef, eggs, and meat chickens. The farm offers free delivery and sells at various farmers markets. The mission is to produce highly nutritious and flavorful foods for families, emphasizing the importance of knowing where food comes from and how it is raised.
