About the Farm
Background
Four years in the making, the farm was established with the goal of planting a variety of fruits and vegetables for the local community. The initial setup involved significant effort in preparing the soil and infrastructure. The farm is known for its heirloom vegetables and greens, and it also sells vegetable starts.
Practices
The farm adheres to organic standards without pursuing certification. Soil health is a priority, achieved through the creation of mulch and compost, some of which is sourced locally. Waste is recycled into compost or fed to chickens. High tunnels are used to extend the growing season, ensuring a steady supply of fresh produce.
The Rest
The farm operates a CSA program offering weekly food boxes, which are highly sought after and must be ordered in advance. They also participate in local farmers markets on Saturdays in Auburn and Sundays at Fowler Ranch. The farm offers a variety of baked goods and seasonal produce, and is open to visitors during specified hours.
